Little Acts of Decluttering #minimalist
So I am back again with some more helpful tips to create small, daily decluttering habits. These little acts of decluttering are designed as a way of building up natural decluttering habits that will begin to feel like second nature over time. By decluttering one small area at a time, you will begin to transform your space into a calm and tidy space.
- Candles and wax melts
- coins in change jars
- old phone books/directories
- junk mail
- bikes and scooters
- car supplies/ accessories /car care items
- attic
- stairs and under the stairs
- fitness equipment
- batteries and light bulbs
- food containers/lunch boxes
- plates and bowls
- Party supplies
- hallway
- dining table
Which areas were the most challenging?
For me it’s food containers and lunch boxes. I have a whole drawer dedicated this this area, but it is also heavily used over and over. But what is most helpful is having the right size and making sure that all lids match the containers available.
I would love to know how you are getting on with these little acts of decluttering. Have you started to see a change in your home and what you now bring in to your space?
Remember…
For each section, be thorough and fair to yourself. Know that you have the power to create a clutter free home and to do so will take time and effort. However, these little acts help to break it down into different areas so that the task because manageable.
