5 Ways To Make Decluttering Fun!

This is the second post I have written on how to make decluttering fun (5 ways).

It can be hard to get started with decluttering, so making it a fun task will help to keep you motivated and chipping away at the clutter. So I wanted to share 5 new ways in which you can make decluttering fun…

5 ways to make decluttering fun:

  1. Try a decluttering challenge! There are a number of challenges that you could choose from: 30 day minimalism game, 10 items in 10 minutes, 40 bags in 40 days, 12-12-12. Find one that works for you or try them all!
  2. Have a declutter buddy! Find a friend that is also wanting to declutter – you could then team up to help each other declutter each other’s houses. You can also keep each other accountable and motivated to keep going.
  3. Join an online decluttering group – there are many! It will be a great way to share your progress and support others to do the same.
  4. Take before and after photos of your home. This is a great way to track your progress and remind yourself of how well you are doing.
  5. Challenge your family to a decluttering race. This could be setting a timer and seeing who collects the most things to declutter. Or, you could give a number of items to find, fastest wins.

The most important thing to remember is that it can be fun. The more enjoyable the decluttering, the more likely you are to keep going.
