Favourite items that I own as a minimalist!

Now is the time to share my favourite items that I own as a minimalist. Each item listed are items that really serve a purpose for me and allow me to live a simply and balanced life.

Favourite items…

  1. Camera. I absolutely adore my camera. It’s the best ยฃ200 I have ever spent. Firstly, It allows me to record youtube videos and take landscape photos, whilst also being light weight and easy to use. I would be lost without it!
  2. Walking shoes. If, like me, you like being out and about, a decent pair of walking shoes is worth its weight in gold. Therefore, if you love a coastal path walk or hike on Dartmoor then these are a must.
  3. Bullet journal. My bullet journal is a complete game changer. It’s a diary and notebook in one. I have weekly diary spreads, yearly calendar, and notes from meetings and training session in one place.
  4. Drawer organisers. This can really transform a space and allow you to see your items clearly. It makes for a smoother transition to finding things and I am so there for ease of living.
  5. Food storage containers. If you meal plan and batch cook like me then you will know how fabulous food containers are! And if you aren’t batch cooking – why not? Get making bigger portions and saving leftovers for a rainy day to save another cooking session.
  6. Quality cookware. Unsurprisingly, this can make keeping things clean and tidy so much easier. I try and keep on top of this each day and having easy clean saucepans makes it a quick job to do. No more scrubbing pans!
  7. Artwork. This is a powerful way to transform your home into a place you love. Art can tap into your emotions and bring you to life. Furthermore, minimalism doesn’t mean white walls, it means a home full of purpose, so choose art that speaks to you.
  8. Bookshelf. Next, I love reading and my book collection so it is great to be able to display the things I love. It is tucked away under the stairs, but serves it’s purpose well. The rule for me is to not overfill it. If that happens, then it’s time to declutter again.
  9. Smartphone. My smartphone really works as a second camera. I choose it purely for the camera as a back up for my main camera and it’s such a worthwhile investment.
  10. Water bottle. The only way I can keep on top of the water intake is by carrying a water bottle with me everywhere. Therefore, it is worth having one that is durable and a good size. I take it everywhere!
